Dear researchers, academics, and readers,
It is with great joy and pride that we welcome you to the
inaugural edition of the Scientia International Journal for
Biological Sciences (SIJBio). This launch marks a significant
step for Scientia International in our mission to transform the
dissemination of scientific knowledge globally. SIJBio is not
just a scientific journal; it is a reflection of our commitment to
excellence, innovation, and accessibility in the biological
sciences.
1. The mission of Scientia International
Scientia International was founded with a clear purpose: to
democratize access to scientific knowledge, overcoming
linguistic and financial barriers that often limit the
dissemination of important research. We envision a world
where high-quality scientific information is free and accessible
to all, promoting collaboration and the advancement of
knowledge on a truly global scale.
To achieve this vision, we launched Scientia International
Press, our open-access publishing division dedicated to
providing high-quality editorial services to the academic and
scientific community. Through Scientia International Press, we
offer a range of specialized services, including personalized
editorial support, rigorous peer review, advanced plagiarism
detection, open-access publishing, efforts for indexing and
global visibility, digital preservation, flexible licensing, and
multilingual publishing.
2. The proposal of SIJBio
The Scientia International Journal for Biological Sciences
(SIJBio) is dedicated to publishing excellent research in the
areas of biological sciences. Our journal covers a wide range of
topics, including cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics,
physiology, ecology, evolution, and behavior. We seek works
that not only advance knowledge in their respective fields but
also address issues of global relevance, such as biodiversity
conservation, biotechnology, and health.
SIJBio stands out for its open-access policy, which ensures
that all publications are freely available to readers worldwide.
This publishing model is essential for promoting the
dissemination of knowledge without barriers, allowing
researchers from all parts of the globe to access and contribute
their findings.
2.1. Focus and Scope of SIJBio
Our main focus is on the dissemination of innovative and
practically relevant research with a significant impact on the
biological sciences. The journal welcomes manuscripts that
explore everything from cellular structure to organism
behavior, including genetics and ecology.
Cellular Biology: We encourage the submission of studies
on the structure, function, and processes of cells, including
research on cell signaling, organelles, and developmental
biology.
Molecular Biology and Genetics: We seek research that
advances our understanding of molecular and genetic
mechanisms, including studies of DNA, RNA, proteins, and
biotechnology.
Physiology: We welcome manuscripts that explore the
physiological processes of organisms, including adaptation to
the environment, homeostasis mechanisms, and interaction
between biological systems.
Ecology and Evolution: We look for works that investigate
the interaction of organisms with their environment, population
dynamics, biodiversity conservation, and the evolutionary
processes that shape life on Earth.
Behavior: We encourage studies on animal and human
behavior, including research on communication, learning,
social, and adaptive behavior.
3. Linguistic inclusivity and Open Peer Review
One of Scientia International's most innovative initiatives is
our policy of linguistic inclusivity. In SIJBio, we accept articles
in any language, which are later translated and published in
English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Metadata, such as titles,
abstracts, and keywords, are available in German, Spanish,
French, English, Mandarin, and Portuguese. This approach not
only facilitates access to information for a broader audience but
also promotes diversity and inclusion in the academic world.
Additionally, we have adopted a progressive and transparent
open review model, where reviewers and authors are identified,
and their review reports are published alongside the articles.
This practice promotes a culture of openness and
accountability, encouraging constructive dialogue between
authors and reviewers, facilitating collaboration, and
enhancing scientific knowledge.
4. Commitment to quality and excellence
At SIJBio, the quality and relevance of publications are our
top priorities. Our editorial team, composed of renowned
scientists and academics in their fields, works closely with
authors and reviewers to ensure rigorous evaluation of
manuscripts. This meticulous process ensures that only high-
quality research with significant implications is published.
We are committed to supporting the scientific community
by providing a reliable and high-quality platform for research
publication. Through our ongoing efforts for indexing and
global visibility, we ensure that publications in SIJBio have a
significant impact and reach a vast and diverse audience.
5. Recognitions
Scientia International has the privilege of being supported
by the governments of Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. In Spain,
we are part of the CEEIM - European Center for Business and
Scientia International Journal for Biological Sciences

Innovation in Murcia, where we receive support for the
implementation and management of the startup.
In Portugal, we are incubated at the Regia-Douro Park,
thanks to a strategic collaboration with the Municipality of Vila
Real, the University of TrĂ¡s-os-Montes and Alto Douro
(UTAD), and Portuspark. Our project was selected for the
StartUP Visa Portugal program, promoted by IAPMEI -
Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, I.P.
In Brazil, Scientia International is registered under the
special regime of Inova Simples, an initiative of the Brazilian
Government focused on disruptive and innovative businesses.
These supports reaffirm our mission to be an innovative leader
in the field of scientific publishing and motivate us to continue
advancing the democratization of access to knowledge.
6. Conclusion
On behalf of Scientia International, it is a great pleasure to
welcome all our readers, authors, and collaborators to the
Scientia International Journal for Biological Sciences (SIJBio).
We are excited about the possibilities that this journal brings to
the global scientific community and hope that you will join us
on this journey to promote science, innovation, and
international collaboration.
Together, we can transform the way scientific knowledge is
shared and accessed, overcoming barriers and creating a future
where information is truly universal and inclusive.
