Open Review and Linguistic Inclusivity
Recognizing linguistic diversity in academia, we have implemented an inclusive policy at Scientia International Journals. Articles are accepted in any language for publication and are translated into English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Metadata, including titles, abstracts, and keywords, is available in six languages: German, Spanish, French, English, Mandarin, and Portuguese. Books can be published in English, Portuguese, or Spanish without mandatory translation, respecting the author’s language choice. This initiative aims to make information accessible to a broader audience and help researchers from different linguistic regions discover relevant works.
Our progressive and transparent open review model fosters transparency by identifying reviewers and authors and publishing their reports alongside the articles. This approach promotes openness, accountability, constructive dialogue, and scientific knowledge improvement.
Our Vision and Commitment to Global Science Communication
Scientia International Press aspires to be a leader in multilingual open access publishing, providing a trusted, high-quality, and accessible publishing environment for researchers worldwide. We are committed to supporting the scientific community by promoting the broad and accessible dissemination of scientific knowledge. Through our open access publishing services, we aim to advance knowledge, drive scientific collaboration, and foster global innovation.
Editorial Policy, Peer Review, Periodicity and Research Ethics
The editorial policy of the journal is conducted by the Scientific Editorial Team and an International Editorial Board, within the scope of Scientia International Press, the publishing entity responsible for the scientific, technical and ethical management of journals in the Scientia International network. The Editorial Board is composed of invited scholars and researchers holding a doctoral degree, affiliated with academic and research institutions from different countries.
These bodies are responsible for ensuring the scientific quality of publications, editorial integrity, and adherence to the principles of open science adopted by Scientia International.
Periodicity
The journal adopts a continuous publication model, in which articles are published individually after the completion of all stages of the editorial process. A minimum of one volume per year is guaranteed, and the journal may organize regular issues, special issues, or thematic dossiers throughout the editorial period, in accordance with the policy of Scientia International Press.
Open peer review process
Scientia International Press adopts, across its journals, the open peer review model, based on the following principles:
Transparency
The identities of authors and reviewers are mutually known from the beginning of the evaluation process.
Publication of review reports
Peer review reports, reviewer identification, and the editorial history of the manuscript, including dates of submission, revision, and acceptance, are published alongside the final article as part of the permanent scholarly record.
Accountability and dialogue
This model promotes scientific accountability, traceability of the evaluation process, and constructive dialogue among authors, reviewers, and the academic community.
Editorial workflow
The editorial process follows the steps outlined below:
Initial editorial screening (3 to 7 days)
The Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor assesses whether the manuscript fits the journal’s scope, meets minimum standards of scientific quality, complies with submission guidelines, and adheres to ethical requirements.
Similarity and originality check
All manuscripts are submitted to textual similarity detection tools, including Similarity Check (Crossref) and Turnitin, to ensure originality and proper attribution of sources. Manuscripts showing evidence of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or excessive similarity may be rejected or returned to the authors for correction prior to peer review.
External peer review (30 to 60 days)
Manuscripts approved at the screening stage are sent to at least two independent external reviewers, selected based on subject expertise, institutional diversity, and geographical diversity.
Editorial decision
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial team may decide to accept the manuscript, accept it subject to minor revisions, request major revisions, or reject it.
Revisions and additional rounds
When revisions are requested, authors receive the full review reports and must submit a revised version accompanied by a detailed response letter. Additional rounds of review may take place when necessary.
Publication
After final acceptance, the article is published in open access, together with the peer review reports and the editorial history.
Average processing time
The average time from submission to final decision is 60 to 90 days, and may vary depending on the extent of revisions required.
Research ethics and integrity
Scientia International Press adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows international best practices in research integrity.
Core policies include:
Originality
All manuscripts must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or data falsification constitute serious scientific misconduct.
Responsible authorship
Authorship must reflect substantive contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or writing of the study. Honorary, guest, or ghost authorship is not permitted.
Use of generative artificial intelligence
The use of AI tools for assisted writing, translation, or data analysis is permitted, provided that such use is explicitly declared by the authors. Authors must critically review all generated content and assume full responsibility for the final version. AI tools may not be listed as authors.
Corrections and retractions
The journal follows COPE guidelines for corrections, errata, and retractions. Published articles may be corrected or retracted in cases of substantial error or proven scientific misconduct.
For detailed information on ethical principles, editorial conduct, conflicts of interest, use of AI, and procedures in cases of misconduct, authors are encouraged to consult the Scientia International Code of Ethics:

Quality criteria and minimum standards
A manuscript may be rejected at the initial editorial screening stage if it does not meet the following minimum criteria:
Scientific relevance
The manuscript must present an original and significant contribution to its field of knowledge.
Methodological rigor
The research design, methodological procedures, and data analysis must be coherent with the stated objectives.
Clarity and structure
The title must be concise, the abstract self-contained, and the argumentation clear, structured, and logically articulated.
Ethical compliance
The manuscript must fully comply with the journal’s ethical policies, including originality, responsible authorship, declaration of conflicts of interest, and ethical approval when applicable.
