Abstract
The Scientia International Journal for Social Sciences (SIJSocial) marks an important step in the dissemination of knowledge in the social
sciences. Committed to Scientia International's mission of democratizing access to scientific knowledge, SIJSocial is an open-access journal
dedicated to publishing innovative and relevant research in economics, sociology, anthropology, politics, psychology, and demography. The
journal promotes linguistic inclusion, accepting articles in any language and making them accessible in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. By
adopting an open and transparent review model, SIJSocial fosters accountability and constructive dialogue between authors and reviewers. With
a focus on excellence and global collaboration, SIJSocial aims to contribute to a future where scientific knowledge is universally accessible and
inclusive.

Dear researchers, academics, and readers,
It is with great enthusiasm and pride that we welcome you to
the inaugural edition of the Scientia International Journal for
Social Sciences (SIJSocial). This launch represents a significant
milestone for Scientia International in our mission to transform
the dissemination of scientific knowledge on a global scale.
SIJSocial is not merely a scientific journal; it is a reflection of
our commitment to excellence, innovation, and accessibility in
the social sciences.
1. The Mission of Scientia International
Scientia International was founded with a clear purpose: to
democratize access to scientific knowledge, overcoming
linguistic and financial barriers that often restrict the
dissemination of essential research. We envision a world where
high-quality scientific information is free and accessible to
everyone, promoting collaboration and the advancement of
knowledge on a truly global scale.
To realize this vision, we launched Scientia International
Press, our open-access publishing division dedicated to
providing high-quality editorial services for the academic and
scientific community. Through Scientia International Press, we
offer a range of specialized services, including personalized
editorial support, rigorous peer review, advanced plagiarism
detection, open access publication, indexing and global
visibility efforts, digital preservation, flexible licensing, and
multilingual publishing.
2. SIJSocial’s Purpose
The Scientia International Journal for Social Sciences
(SIJSocial) is dedicated to publishing innovative, high-quality
research in the social sciences. Our journal covers a broad
spectrum of topics, including economics, sociology,
anthropology, politics, psychology, and demography. We seek
works that not only advance knowledge in their respective
fields but also address relevant and impactful social issues on a
global scale, such as inequality, migration, and development.
SIJSocial stands out for its open-access policy, ensuring that
all publications are freely available to readers worldwide. This
publishing model is fundamental to promoting barrier-free
knowledge dissemination, allowing researchers from all over
the globe to access and contribute their findings.
2.1. SIJSocial’s Focus and Scope
Our primary focus is on disseminating innovative,
practically relevant research with a significant impact across
the various areas of the social sciences. The journal welcomes
manuscripts ranging from social theories to empirical studies
that provide deep insights into contemporary issues.
Economics: We encourage the submission of studies on
economic development, public policies, international
economics, and economic theories.
Sociology: We seek research that advances our
understanding of social structures, inequality, social mobility,
and community dynamics.
Anthropology: We welcome manuscripts exploring cultural
diversity, social evolution, ethnography, and comparative
studies of human societies.
Politics: We seek work investigating political systems,
governance, international relations, and political theories.
Psychology: We encourage studies on human behavior,
mental health, psychological development, and social
psychology.
Demography: We look for research addressing population
changes, migration, population policies, and census studies.
3. Linguistic Inclusivity and Open Review
One of Scientia International’s most innovative initiatives is
our linguistic inclusivity policy. At SIJSocial, we accept
articles in any language, which are subsequently translated and
published in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Metadata, such
as titles, abstracts, and keywords, are available in German,
Spanish, French, English, Mandarin, and Portuguese. This
approach not only facilitates access to information for a wider
audience but also promotes diversity and inclusion in the
academic world.
Furthermore, we adopt a progressive and transparent open
review model, where reviewers and authors are identified, and
their review reports are published alongside the articles. This
practice promotes a culture of openness and accountability,
encouraging constructive dialogue between authors and
reviewers, facilitating collaboration, and enhancing scientific
knowledge.

At SIJSocial, the quality and relevance of publications are
our top priorities. Our editorial team, composed of renowned
scientists and academics in their fields, works closely with
authors and reviewers to ensure a rigorous evaluation of
manuscripts. This meticulous process ensures that only high-

Scientia International is proud to have the support of the
governments of Spain, Brazil, and Portugal, reaffirming its
mission to democratize access to scientific knowledge through
innovation and global reach.
In Spain, where it is headquartered, it is incubated at the
CEEIM – European Center for Business and Innovation of
Murcia. In 2025, it was selected for the Startup Acceleration
Program, promoted by the EOI Foundation with funding from

the European Union – Next Generation EU, in partnership with
Telefónica and Wayra. It was also granted the Kit Digital,
which enabled investments in digital transformation,
educational platforms, and modernization of editorial systems.
In Brazil, it operates under the Inova Simples special
regime, a federal government initiative to support innovative
and disruptive businesses.
In Portugal, in 2023, it was approved for the StartUP Visa
Portugal program, promoted by IAPMEI, and was incubated at
the Regia-Douro Park, in partnership with the Municipality of
Vila Real, UTAD, and Portuspark.
These recognitions reinforce Scientia’s commitment to
leading scientific innovation grounded in inclusion, quality,
and open science.
6. Conclusion
On behalf of Scientia International, it is a great pleasure to
